Yalambi Farm Stud

Yalambi Farm Stud is situated in the fertile Margaret River Region of Western Australia, three hours south of Perth, where the rolling green fields and abundant clear water provide a perfect playground for young horses. Nestled between two wineries, the 100-acre stud was started in February, 2001 by the Hovell Family (of Perth, Western Australia) with the idea of producing quality international warm blood sport horses. Since son, Rory has returned from the U.S. to manage the stud, Yalambi has become a buzzing breeding and training establishment.

Our links enable you to browse through our Yalambi Champions, our stallions that are available for chilled semen, our Showjumping Team, broodmares and young stock. The Yalambi Showjumping Team is currently made up of 9 young horses ridden by Rory Hovell and his partner, U.S. rider Emily Bleiler.

Yalambi Farm Stud SheltersYalambi places its breeding emphasis on the mother line and, since it’s inception in 2001, has imported 9 quality breeding mares into Australia from Europe most of whom arrive with foals in utero, enabling us to import lines that are not available in Australia. Frozen semen proved too risky over our good mares, so we made the decision to import our own stallions. We now have two resident young stallions one of which is in the sport and the other young three year old will start competing in 2009. Val D’Isere is available for chilled semen.
