Yalambi's In Flight
Born: August 1988
Color: Brown
Inflight is a daughter of the stallion Galoubet A (Almé Z - Nystag - Boum III) and a granddaughter of Almé, one of the all time great jumping stallions. Galoubet had a huge international jumping career. He won three World Cup qualifiers in a row at Antwerp, Hertogenbosch and Dortmund before he retired at the age of ten to take up a full time breeding career. Galoubet ranked third on the WBFSH standings for 2000/2001, largely on the strength of his son Baloubet du Rouet who won three World Cups in a row as well as team bronze at Sydney Olympics. Quickstar and Stella were other superstar daughters of Galoubet.
Inflight jumped at Grand Prix level in the U.S. with Rory Hovell. She was always a favourite of Rory’s as, together with her power and amazing jumping technique, she had a wonderful attitude and a great heart. She was imported to Yalambi in 2002 to begin her breeding career. She has had three foals in all. The first foal, Yalambi’s Vivace (by Astound - Furioso 11) is jumping 1.35m already as a 6/7 year old in the U.S. The 2nd foal, Yalambi’s Tinkerbell (by Cardinale, b. August 2002 ) is a big scopey and athletic mare. Her 3rd foal Yalambi’s Phoenix (b. October 2004) is by Voltaire and, like Tinkerbell, is a big and scopey yearling with a talented freejump.
