Torreya is a daughter of the stallion Hold Up Premier.
France’s most important stallions at the present time, Narcos 11 and Quidam de Revel are the sire and grand-sire of Hold Up Premier. They jumped internationally and are guaranteed producers with many top offspring. Hold Up Premier placed at the ages of 4, 5, 6, and 7 in the finals of the Stallion Competition and in the Dutch Championships. At the ages of 5 and 7 he placed in the World Championships. He is currently performing well at both national and international level and is one of the best performing stallions of his age. Hold Up Premier sires long-lined, full-blooded horses with a lot of elasticity and extra jumping qualities.
Her grandfather Nimmerdor (Farn x Koridon x Senator), is one of the most influential Dutch Warmblood sires and was awarded the title ‘Sire of the 20th Century’ in the year 2000. As well as having an international career as a showjumper he had a big influence on national and international breeding. At the time of his death, he left 18 approved sons and 37 approved grandsons. Of the international career as a showjumper, Nimmerdor got a big influence on the national and international breeding. He still got a great influence with 18 KWPN approved sons and 39 KWPN approved grandsons. Sons include Aram (son of De Sjiem), Ahorn, Good Times, Wellington (sire of Emilion and Glenridge). In 2003, 25% of the top 150 Dutch jumping horses are out of Nimmerdor mares.
Yalambi imported Torreya from Holland as a 4 yr old in 2003. She has had 2 foals: Yalambi’s Landor S (born February 2004) and Yalambi’s Bollinger, a filly by Cassini 11 (b. December 2005). She will go into the sport in June 2006.
